Nelma Albuquerque

In the October of 2009, Nelma joined Thirdway Human Rights and Development as Volunteer Consultant/Advisor of the ICT department. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from PUC-Rio University, in Brazil and a Postdoc at NTNU, in Norway.
 
Before working for Thirdway, Nelma had been involved in various researches and IT projects, carrying multidisciplinary research. She had also gained experience from working as a Coordinator of multimedia laboratory and Supervisor of students’ projects. Besides, she has a broad teaching experience in algorithms, informatics, and various years of experience as civil engineer, her formal background.
 
Nelma responsibilities include consultancy and advices for courses programmes, preparation and teaching of course, recruiting staff and volunteers for the ICT/Website departments, on the website development, and other support for decisions related to ICT, in management level.
